I’ve been working as a professional interior designer for over 20 years, building a successful design career without a formal design degree.

How I Got Started in Interior Design
My love for interiors has been in my heart for as long as I can remember, and that passion only grew once I had a home of my own to decorate. I received constant compliments on my home, and friends would often ask me to help them decorate their spaces. That’s when I started to realize that what I loved doing might actually be something I could pursue as a career.

I knew I wanted to become an interior designer, but I didn’t want to go back to school full time to obtain a degree. At the time, that felt like the only path into the industry. In the end, it was the encouragement from my husband, Scott, that gave me the courage to put myself out there and start my own design business.
How I Built My Interior Design Career
After deciding to pursue interior design, I began learning everything I could about the industry and gaining experience wherever possible.
Over time, I developed my own process for working with clients, designing spaces, and managing projects. As I continued working with homeowners and helping them transform their spaces, my confidence and experience grew.
What started with helping friends and family soon turned into real client projects and a growing interior design business.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with hundred of clients, design beautiful spaces, and build a career doing something I truly love.
Through that experience, I also realized something important: Many aspiring designers struggle not because they lack talent, but because they don’t know where to start or how to turn their passion into a real business.
